Innovation Award Gregor Mendel 2022

The Gregor Mendel Foundation will pay tribute to Gregor Mendel in a ceremony on 17 November 2022 in Berlin, who would celebrate his 200th birthday on 20 July. As part of the ceremony, the Board of Trustees will award the Gregor Mendel Innovation Award to outstanding scientists in plant research. More information will follow shortly.
As early as 2002, the Gregor Mendel Foundation set itself the goal of drawing attention to the social importance of plant research and plant breeding by awarding the Gregor Mendel Innovation Prize for outstanding findings in the field of plant sciences. In 2022, the foundation will pay special attention to the namesake. The highlight will be the ceremony in November in Berlin.
